About the Role
AEP Engineering is seeking a motivated and hands-on Warehouse Leading Hand to join our growing team.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career. Initially, you will work closely with our management team to learn our systems, processes, stock control requirements and warehouse operations. As our business continues to grow, you will play a key role in helping shape the warehouse function and will eventually lead and mentor a dedicated warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving, checking and processing incoming deliveries
- Picking and issuing parts and materials to workshop teams
- Managing stock levels and conducting stocktakes
- Maintaining accurate inventory records within company systems
- Coordinating freight, dispatch and transport requirements
- Organising warehouse layout and storage locations
- Ensuring a safe, clean and efficient warehouse environment
- Supporting workshop and production teams with material requirements
- Assisting with the re-development and implementation of warehouse processes and procedures
- Working alongside management to establish best-practice warehouse operations

This position is designed to grow with the business.
During the initial onboarding period, you will learn the operational requirements of the role and become familiar with our products, systems and workflow. As warehouse operations expand, you will be responsible for helping build and lead a warehouse team, providing direction, training and support to ensure a high-performing department.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous warehouse, stores, logistics or inventory experience
- Possesses strong organisational and time management skills
- Is confident using computer systems and inventory software
- Has excellent communication skills
- Takes pride in maintaining a structured and efficient workplace
- Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving ability
- Is reliable, accountable and eager to develop into a leadership role
- Holds a current driver’s licence
- Forklift licence (highly desirable but not essential)
